9W & High Avenue Depaving Project

In Summer 2025, the Nyack Pollinator Pathway partnered with Nyack Auto Collision to transform part of their parking lot at the corner of 9W and High Avenue. With the owner’s permission, a contractor removed two long sections of asphalt to create space for a new tree and a vibrant native pollinator garden.

Volunteers—many of them neighbors who live nearby—joined us on planting day to install a diverse mix of native plants. What was once solid pavement now provides habitat for bees, butterflies, and birds while bringing greenery and seasonal blooms to this highly visible corner of Nyack.
